Cruising World wrote:
"When one of the biggest production sailboat builders in the world corrals top honors... it's time to take serious notice."
More recently, Practical Sailor summarized the Catalina 380 perfectly:
"The Catalina 380 has a good balance between comfort, performance and reasonable build quality for both coastal and offshore cruising."
The result is a yacht equally at home enjoying long weekends on the Neuse River, cruising the Intracoastal Waterway, exploring the Chesapeake, making seasonal trips to the Bahamas, or spending months aboard as a comfortable liveaboard cruiser.
A recent professional marine survey found the hull to be structurally sound, with no evidence of osmotic blistering, grounding damage, deck delamination, or significant structural deficiencies. The vessel was determined to be suitable for her intended cruising service after correction of several normal maintenance items.

Interior Walkthrough
Stepping below through the wide companionway, you're welcomed into a bright, warm main salon finished in rich teak joinery and classic teak-and-holly flooring. Large ports and overhead hatches flood the interior with natural light while creating excellent ventilation throughout.
Immediately to port is the spacious L-shaped galley, thoughtfully designed for serious cruising. Twin stainless-steel sinks, generous solid-surface countertops, abundant storage, a three-burner propane stove with oven, microwave, and refrigerated icebox provide everything needed for comfortable meal preparation whether at anchor or underway.
Opposite the galley is a dedicated forward-facing navigation station with room for paper charts, electrical controls, communications equipment, and voyage planning.
The salon features a large U-shaped dinette surrounding a beautiful centerline table, creating an inviting gathering space for family and guests. Comfortable seating, abundant storage, and excellent visibility make this one of Catalina's most successful interior layouts.
Forward, the guest stateroom offers a comfortable V-berth with private vanity sink, hanging locker, storage lockers, and excellent natural light.
A hallmark of the Catalina 380 is the luxurious owner's aft stateroom. A true queen-size berth, extensive cabinetry, hanging lockers, and direct private access to the head create accommodations normally found aboard considerably larger yachts.
The spacious head features a manual marine toilet, molded vanity with sink, hot and cold pressurized water, shower capability, and dual access from both the salon and owner's cabin.
Throughout the vessel, the survey found the interior woodwork, headliner, cabinetry, and sole to be in good condition with no evidence of water intrusion.
