Born and raised in St. Augustine, Florida, fishing has always been in Drewâs blood. His grandpa lived in Cudjoe Key when he was younger and they spent every chance they had chasing lobsters, yellowtail, mangrove snappers, mahis and sailfish in the keys. Heâll never forget dropping back to his first sail when he was 11 years old; billfish have had him hooked ever since.
Â
He worked on several of the best charter boats in NE Florida through high school and college and then moved on to a private boat sector and eventually got his Captains license and stepped up to the bridge. His first Captain job was on a 1960 Rybovich, and he currently runs a 58ⲠWeaver. He and his wife have been blessed with a baby girl who is now 5 years old, and he feels very lucky to be able to run an awesome sportfishing program in his hometown and in the Bahamas. He has run some private charters in St. Augustine and with plans to travel north to fish the White Marlin Open this year.
Â
He is an asset to the DH Yachts Salesâ team both in terms of his deep industry knowledge and St. Augustine location.
